- Minimum of five years of experience selling medical devices to hospitals.
- Surgical OR experience, training surgeons and nurses on how to use products.
- A drive to grow business, has a ‘new business hunter’ mentality. We are not looking for a farmer/maintainer.
- Accustomed to a high amount of travel.
- Develop and implement territory action plan and budget, based on clear objectives, strategies and metrics, to meet organizational goals.
- Achieve weekly, monthly, and annual sales quotas by successfully implementing sales and marketing strategies and tactics
- Create strong relationships with key healthcare professionals including surgeons, nurses, lactation consultants, educators, and other clinicians.
- Identify and develop new KOL’s to further increase Medela’s position in the clinical environment.
- Create strong partnerships with Procurement department, buyers, and other key decision makers.
- Participate in Medela presentations to buying groups and clinical committees.
- Organize and support evaluations, implementations, and in-servicing activities.
- Prepare and conduct comprehensive business reviews with all major accounts.
- Prepare product and solution presentations in response to customer needs.
- Attend conferences when required.
- Participate in the RFP process.
- Develop and maintain an in-depth product knowledge, including features, benefits and applications that relate to the customer’s needs.
- Keep timely records and manage all customer activities including call reports and follow up through company CRM software (SalesForce.com).
- 5+ years’ experience in Medical Device sales in hospital surgical OR.
- University degree in a related field such as in Science or Business.
- Clinical background preferred.
- Ability to travel within territory. Travel required:50-70%.
- Proven success rate at levels above sales quota.
- Ability to use consultative selling techniques to drive sales opportunities with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to identify and resolve complex problems with all channels of customers.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Must possess excellent professional written and verbal communication, negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- The ability to deliver presentations to small and large groups.
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive company image to the customer.
- Possesses good computer and internet skills, software experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Power BI.
- Proficiency with Salesforce and SAP.
