Closing Date: 04/28/2024Job SummaryReporting to the Facility Manager, the Supervisor Facilities Operations is responsible for administering and supervising all daily operations, quality assurance and legislative requirements, repairs and maintenance and staff supervision for assigned facility portfolios.Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Project and Procurement Management to evaluate vendors, suppliers, negotiate contracts, review and supervise purchases and lead projects while adhering to applicable procurement processes
  • Coordinate inspections and repairs to facilities, equipment and building systems; establish and follow through on a preventative maintenance programs and maintain the physical assets of the facilities
  • Develop work obligations and overall adherence to facility and programming needs, event schedules, facility cleanliness standards, health and safety criteria and maintenance requirements
  • Effectively carry-out facility operations and project management while ensuring clean, safe and well maintained facilities
  • Maintain all administrative requirements and financial management deadlines including payroll, oversight of operating budgets, budget requests, budget forecasting and capital budget submissions
  • Successfully provide leadership to facility operations staff including people management, training, motivating, directing and evaluating employees in order to optimize workplace productivity and promote professional growth
Skills and Qualifications
  • Post-secondary University degree or College diploma in recreation, facilities management and operations management
  • Oversight of operating and lifecycle budgets
  • Effective leadership of full-time staff, planning, organizational, problem solving and time management skills
  • Knowledgeable in working with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and BAS systems
  • Must be able to work a varied schedule outside of regular business hours and some weekends
  • Possession of a “B” (Refrigeration Operator Class B) ticket is required to work at “registered plant facilities” deemed by the Province of Ontario
  • Possession of Basic Refrigeration, CIT (Certified Ice Technician) certification, CPO (Certified Pool Operator) is required
  • Professional experience supervising the operations and maintenance of facilities and building systems
  • Must hold and provide a copy of a valid Ontario Driver’s License Class G
  • Valid CPR, First Aid Certification or willing to obtain in the first six months of employment
Hourly Rate/Salary: $ 86,858.00 - $ 115,812.00
