- Perform and troubleshoot cell-based (primary) experiments and assays to determine the biological activity of LNPs in vitro including routine validation studies.
- Collect and analyze experimental data, present data at meetings, provide conclusions and outline future plans, and contribute to technical documentation.
- Ensure that the necessary lab supplies are available and support our operation of the cell culture laboratory, including training on laboratory/product protocols as needed.
- Post secondary education in the life sciences discipline (i.e. cell biology, molecular biology, biotechnology, pharmaceutical sciences) and 2+ years of relevant work experience within a lab-based environment.
- Hands-on experience in primary cell culture workflows, especially primary human T cells, hematopoietic stem cells (HSC), and familiarity with a wide-range of cell and molecular biology techniques such as cell flow cytometry, ELISA, qPCR, western blot and microscopy.
- Ability to independently design, conduct, analyze and troubleshoot experiments.
- Reporting and presentation of experimental plans and scientific data
- Delivery of nucleic acids (e.g. plasmid DNA, messenger RNA, siRNA, CRISPR components) to cells by electroporation or lipid nanoparticles
- Project management methodology and statistical analyses of experimental data
