Hawkesbury, OntarioSummaryThis role leads site HSE and quality activities at VPON while coordinating key local IT and OPEX priorities. The primary focus is to maintain safe operations, regulatory and ISO compliance, effective incident and NCR follow-up, and practical site improvement.Core Responsibilities
- Lead the local application of HSE standards, safe-work expectations and quality requirements across the site.
- Coordinate incident, claim, near-miss and NCR investigations, including reporting, action tracking and closure follow-up.
- Maintain the HSE and compliance calendar, including inspections, training, drills, reports and recurring reviews.
- Support ISO, audits, document control, calibration planning and corrective-action follow-up.
- Coordinate weekly safety communications, monthly quality follow-up and site action tracking routines.
- Coordinate key local IT and digital needs, including user support, issue triage and hardware or access readiness.
- Support OPEX initiatives, KPI follow-up and selected site projects with safety, quality or compliance impacts.
- Prepare and support toolbox talks, HSE meetings, monthly quality reviews and related action registers.
- Coordinate regulatory and environmental follow-up, including Ministry, ESA, TSSA, fire-drill and reporting activities where applicable.
- Maintain controlled documents, work instructions, forms, JSAs and revision approvals so current records remain accurate and accessible.
- Support customer and internal quality claims, certificates of compliance and daily quality follow-up with operations.
- Support P2G, savings reviews, reporting routines and selected CAPEX or commissioning follow-up as required.
- HSE and compliance: HSE calendar, inspections, training, incident investigations, toolbox talks, JHSC support and regulatory follow-up.
- Quality and ISO: NCRs, claims, corrective actions, audits, calibration planning, document control and management-system follow-up.
- IT and digital coordination: Local user support, issue triage, hardware readiness, workflow tools and access follow-up.
- OPEX and improvement: P2G support, KPI reporting, savings follow-up and selected site projects.
- Works closely with Site Leadership, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain and HR to align priorities with site needs.
- Coordinates with corporate HSE, Quality, IT stakeholders, auditors, regulators, contractors and consultants as required.
- Post-secondary education in engineering, health and safety, quality, industrial operations or a related field, or equivalent manufacturing experience.
- Experience in HSE, quality systems, audits, investigations, document control and compliance follow-up in an industrial environment.
- Comfort with digital tools, reporting systems and cross-functional coordination.
- Strong planning and communication skills; bilingual French and English capability is an asset.
