The opportunity:The Temporary Transportation and Logistics (T&L) Rates Administrator is responsible for the administration and maintenance of a centralized freight repository inclusive of all rates negotiated by the Honduras Logistics team, SRL team, 3PL Ops and Customs Team in Montreal where applicable. The position sits in the T&L Department reporting directly to the Manager, T&L Operations.The role
Maintain a freight repository of all Sales, Marketing & Distribution, Customs, 3PL and Transportation rates that are necessary for use by the Transportation and Logistics Accounting team.
Provide quarterly market rate comparison analyses as well as any additional analyses as requested by Management for decision making purposes.
Collaborate with the Director and Manager, T&L Operations, to perform competitive testing and analysis for all rates managed by the SRL office in order to provide a comprehensive view of the lanes and the various options quoted, to enable decisions to be made in alignment with internal audit procedures.
Maintain the GQS process documentation functions to ensure compliance with Internal Audit mandates.
Maintain and follow up with the manufacturing locations and IT to ensure that shipments in error are reprocessed timely to ensure no delay of the E1 payment processing system.
The requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or a related discipline, and one (1) to three (3) years’ experience working in a similar position.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a methodical approach to work are essential.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels.
Good sense of judgment and initiative.
