- Formal Assessment Expertise: Conduct psychological assessments for diverse needs, including treatment planning and pre-employment screenings for high-risk occupations.
- Innovative Approach: Leverage digital therapeutics in your practice.
- Collaborative Environment: Work alongside a supportive team of Psychologists, Psychotherapists, OTs, PTs, and other allied health professionals.
- Leveraging novel approaches to the delivery of mental health services, including adjunct digital therapeutics.
- Delivering individual and group treatment for a wide range of presenting concerns, including anxiety, trauma, depression, somatic complaints, substance misuse, adjustment, and interpersonal issues.
- Consulting with other mental health service team members and clinical interdisciplinary teams.
- Contributing to in-house training sessions and interdisciplinary case discussions.
- Contributing to program outcome evaluations at the provincial and national level.
- Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in Psychology from an accredited university.
- Formal training in diagnostic / formal assessments (MMPI-3, PAI) is required.
- Current registration in good standing with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology (competency with adult populations is required; clinical designation required; counseling psychology, health/rehabilitation psychology, neuropsychology considered assets).
- Individual professional liability insurance is required at the time of employment.
- Conducting psychological assessments with adults for various goals, including treatment planning.
- Providing various evidence-based treatments grounded in cognitive-behavioral approaches.
- Working in interdisciplinary teams and with third-party payers is considered an asset.
- Utilizing telehealth/virtual care methods is considered an asset.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work both autonomously and as part of interdisciplinary teams.
- Efficient with required clinical documentation.
- Able to manage a diverse caseload within a dynamic work setting.
- Demonstrated work ethic, integrity, reliability, maturity, and flexibility.
