Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools is Saskatchewan’s largest Catholic school division. It is our privilege to serve more than 22,000 students in 7 high schools and 43 elementary schools. Our dynamic and growing school division currently employs approximately 2,300 full and part-time teaching, support and service staff. Our division continues to adapt for the future through the implementation of innovative programming within a unique, faith-filled learning environment.The Executive Assistant to the Director provides direct support to a wide variety of projects and activities undertaken by the Director and the Board. Additionally, this role manages the day to day operations of the Board Office facility. The Executive Assistant is a highly skilled and dynamic individual who provides confidential administrative support to the Director and Trustees. Required qualifications include:
  • Participation in a Catholic Church community.
  • Post secondary certification in a business related area.
  • Five years experience in an administrative support position.
  • Skill in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and a personnel management system.
  • The ability to establish priorities, manage deadlines and work independently.
  • Skill in team development, public relations and managing communication.
  • Ability to manage tasks, processes, resources and information.
  • Experience supervising and appraising staff.
  • Proven ability to conduct research in support of policy development initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop presentations, compile reports and liaise with external partners.
  • Experience in budget development and administration for assigned areas.
  • Strong communication skills.
In addition, preference will be given to candidates with:
  • Knowledge of the Saskatchewan education sector.
