This is a casual/on-call position with variable shifts (morning, afternoon, and night) scheduled based on operational needs and your availability.POSTING DETAILS (Mandatory Information)Location : Various Transit Station Locations in Ottawa, ONReporting Location: Hurdmen StationJob Classification: Casual Cleaner (Transit Stations)Rate of Pay: 19.80/hourHours of Work: Variable hours based on operational needs and employee availabilityShift: Morning / Afternoon / Night (variable based on operational needs and employee availability)Your work will include:Cleaning and disinfecting station areas including entrances, concourses, platforms, and washroomsSweeping, mopping, spot cleaning, and high-touch surface cleaning (doors, railings, elevator buttons, faregates/TVMs)Replenishing washroom supplies (toilet tissue, paper towels, hand soap) and completing required checks/inspections (e.g., AllGeo scanning where applicable)Reporting issues such as graffiti, damage, hazards, or cleanliness concerns as requiredNight shifts: performing deep-cleaning tasks such as machine scrubbing floors and detailing surfaces (night shift is not responsible for garbage removal)WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?Be part of an industry that’s more important than everCareer advancement opportunitiesWhereas other companies are downsizing, we are growingBe #1 on day 1 by joining an industry leaderFollow Dexterra on LinkedIn and FacebookQualificationsWHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?A great attitude and strong attention to detailStrong English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking) – mandatory, no exceptionsCleaning/janitorial experience is an asset (minimum 6 months preferred)Floor care experience is an asset (machine scrubbing and detailing)Comfortable standing/walking for extended periods in a public-facing environmentComfortable using cleaning chemicals and equipment safelyAble to communicate professionally with supervisors, clients, and the general publicAble to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks (bending, pushing/pulling equipment)A clear criminal background check is required for this roleAdditional InformationDexterra Group is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
