- Delivering on financial objectives for the branch
- Developing, coordinating and monitoring branch activities in order to deliver quality and value to members based on established service standards
- Developing brand awareness of the Vancity value proposition in order to create opportunities and connect with the communities in the branch market area to drive business and redefine wealth
- Leveraging the full offer of Vancity's products and services to serve the needs of the member
- A Strong People Leader - you develop and manage your team to bring about their full potential and provide leadership in the achievement of member experience objectives.
- A Planner & Coordinator - you participate in prioritizing / organizing activities like branch planning, developing staff schedules, and the like.
- An Excellent Communicator - you leverage your written, spoken and interpersonal skills to explain business values, goals, strategies and objectives to staff in a clear way. You are able to coach staff in sales, advice, referral and service delivery, to model a positive member experience, and to address member complaints.
- A Decisive Problem-Solver - you are confident in your decision-making skills to optimize operational capability, to diagnose problems in the context of business, financial and member impacts, and to identify viable solutions.
- Analytical - you assess internal processes and identify opportunities for improvement, and to manage revenue and expenses.
- A minimum of 3 years people management experience; a minimum of 2 years of business development experience; and at least 5 years of overall experience within the financial industry or a related field
- Solid Business acumen in the context of the financial industry
- Advanced Knowledge of relevant Vancity products, policies, procedures, systems, tools, products and services
- Advanced Knowledge of Vancity strategies, functions and programs
- A Bachelor's Degree (or similar level of educational attainment)
- Successful completion of the Investment Funds in Canada (IFIC) or the Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
- Successful completion of three courses towards the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation
- Successful completion of coaching modules in alignment with Vancity's current training and development educational standards
- A CFP designation would be an asset
