Description :SMS Equipment is seeking an ambitious and customer-focused Sales Intern to join our Sales team. In this developmental role, you will support equipment and product support sales activities while building the foundation to advance into a Sales Representative or Product Support Sales Representative (PSSR) role. This position is ideal for someone who is driven, relationship-oriented, and eager to learn by working closely with experienced sales professionals and key internal departments.Work Location: Edmonton, AB.
Salary: $65,000 annually.
Work Arrangement: Fixed on site – working 5 days per week from the office.
Schedule: Monday to Friday.What You'll Do
  • Work alongside Sales Representatives and PSSRs to support fulfillment of the sales mix.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations.
  • Manage walk-in customers and inbound telephone inquiries.
  • Support relationship-building efforts for new and existing customer accounts.
  • Act as a communication focal point between customers and SMS Equipment.
  • Focus on prospecting within identified markets or territories.
  • Use company technical, sales, and promotional resources to generate leads and achieve sales goals.
  • Apply the IMPACT Sales process to drive results.
  • Build knowledge of all SMS customer relationship pathways: Service, Parts, Equipment Sales, Finance/Credit, and other internal functions.
  • Participate in major promotions, new product launches, and marketing initiatives.
What You BringThe ideal candidate will have a strong sales orientation and client and customer relations experience. Additional qualifications include:
  • Post-secondary education in business management or equivalent experience is considered an asset.
  • Industry experience is preferred.
  • Ambitious, driven, and eager to develop cutting-edge product and industry knowledge.
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in required software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, CRMs).
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
