IT, SUMMER STUDENTJOB SUMMARYReporting to the Manager, Infrastructure within Information Technology, the Student will be responsible for the assisting with monitoring, maintaining, and documenting the company's enterprise system environments including but not limited to Active Directory, Windows Servers, VMware, Citrix, and Microsoft 365/AzureSPECIFIC DUTIESFunction
To support, maintain and improve the Technical Infrastructure environment to meet the goals and requirements for all divisions of Ensign Energy Services.Scope of WorkServer Administration including:
Active DirectoryMaintain user accounts
Monitor and maintain directory services such as DNS and DHCPWindows ServersMonitor and maintain Windows servers
Install Windows Updates
Review event logsCitrixCitrix DaaS
Citrix XenApp
Citrix CloudVMWareMonitoring and maintaining vSphere environment
Monitoring and maintaining virtual machines
Deploy new serversMicrosoft 365/AzureMonitor and maintain identity services in Azure
Monitor and maintain virtual machines in Azure
Monitor and maintain Microsoft 365 services including:Microsoft Office
Exchange Online
Microsoft Teams
Microsoft OneDrive
SharePoint OnlineProjectsAssist with implementation of ongoing projectsDocumentation - creation and maintenance of system and installation documentation.
Remote SupportAdministration, Network Support and Desktop Support for remote locations.
On-site support and administration for remote locations

Responsible for avoiding injury resulting from manual handling tasks associated with his/her employment, by use of risk assessment, correct mechanical handling equipment and correct manual handling techniques.MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONSRequiredBasic knowledge of IT systems including Windows Servers, ITSM concepts, network architecture
Ability to maintain and troubleshoot computer network hardware, software, and peripherals.
Knowledge of available computing and/or network hardware and peripheral equipment.
Ability to determine computer problems and to coordinate hardware and/or software solutions.Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate to all project stakeholders
Ability to work independently and as a part of a team and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentPreferredExperience with Citrix / SharePoint / Microsoft SQL / VMWare
Experience/exposure to Project Management concepts and methodologies
Oilfield experience, specifically in the Energy Services sector, would be a definite asset
Knowledge of security best practicesADDITIONAL INFORMATIONSome travel may be required.
Hours of Work 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday
