Join the Marriott family today!The RoleAs a Server in our restaurant outlets, you will be instrumental in providing the highest quality of service to our guests by working alongside and supporting the front-of-house service team. Reporting to the Restaurant leadership team, the primary responsibilities are interacting with guests, taking orders, serving food and drinks to guests, presenting bills in a timely fashion, dealing with guest allergies, keeping a clean workplace, and making sure our guests have very positive experiences. Your role will also include greeting and seating guests, running food and drinks, glassware replenishment and polishing, clearing tables, setting tables, taking payments, and replenishing service stations. You will also be stocking, doing some prep work for cocktails, making cocktails, preparing coffees and any other tasks that are assigned by the Food and Beverage Manager.Job duties:
  • Provide excellent guest service.
  • Greet guests and provide dining options.
  • Make suggestions based on guest preferences.
  • Take and serve food/drinks orders.
  • Up-sell when appropriate.
  • Arrange table settings.
  • Keep tables clean and tidy at all times.
  • Provide guests with their receipt and collect payment.
  • Cooperate and communicate with all serving and kitchen staff.
  • Adhere to all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines.
Employment Experience and Educational Requirements:
  • Friendly and outgoing personality with a passion for excellent guest service.
  • Well organized during both slow and busy periods.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have strong communication and excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent grooming and professional presentation.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends, holidays and evenings.
  • Have a valid Alberta ProServe certificate.
  • Previous hospitality experience considered an asset.
  • As a Food and Beverage Server your attitude and attention to detail are crucial in creating a positive and memorable dining experience for our guests.
