Here's how a Crane Technician for PCL Industrial Constructors Inc. within Edmonton Industrial contributes to our team:ResponsibilitiesPerform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, shop equipment, and facility infrastructure, including welding, cutting, and sandblasting equipmentTroubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues involving motors, control panels, lighting, and gearboxesConduct overhead crane inspections and repairsWork in physically demanding industrial environments, including working at heights using AWP and fall-arrest systemsEnsure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standardsMaintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentationCoordinate and oversee subcontractors and PCL affiliates for shop and facility repairsFollow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure safe work practicesQualificationsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding workExperience working on industrial job sites and in varied environmental conditionsStrong knowledge of electrical codes and safety standardsProven experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical systemsAbility to read and interpret building drawings, schematics, and technical documentsOverhead crane repair experience considered an assetExperience working at heights (AWP and fall arrest certification preferred)Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) experience considered an assetPlumbing, carpentry, and HVAC experience considered a strong assetYour Work Has Purpose HerePCL projects are where life happens, where communities connect, careers begin, and progress is made.
