- Assess, coordinate and internal processing of powerplant related Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), Service Letters (SLs), Airworthiness Limitations (AWLs), Recommended Maintenance requirements and Original Equipment Manufacture (OEM) technical data on WestJet's fleet to maintain aircraft airworthiness and safety standards.
- Monitor newly issued and revised regulatory and technical data, including Maintenance Planning Document (MPDs), engine manuals, and applicable aviation regulations.
- Validate compliance data within the computerized maintenance tracking system (TRAX/eMRO) and carry out quality control functions to ensure supporting documentation is complete with traceable records for all life-limited and time-controlled parts.\
- Prepare and distribute technical data and compliance status reports to stakeholders.
- Perform technical records and time-controlled item reviews to support aircraft and engine inductions, lease transitions, continued airworthiness, and retirement activities.
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce risk, enhance performance, and strengthen compliance controls.
- Support powerplant platform related technical projects, strategic initiatives, analysis, fleet campaigns and configuration changes.
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) License (E or S rating) and/or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in an airline maintenance environment.
- Experience with Boeing 787, Boeing 737, and De Havilland DHC-8-400 aircraft or on their powerplant platforms considered an asset.
- Strong ability to collaborate with internal technical teams and external organizations.
- Advanced experience with TRAX or other computerized maintenance tracking systems preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
