Adecco is currently hiring an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for a full-time, permanent opportunity with our client in Bedford, NS. This role is ideal for a highly skilled and hands-on maintenance professional with strong mechanical aptitude and experience working in heavy industrial or plant environments.As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing equipment issues, performing repairs on plant machinery, and ensuring all mechanical systems operate safely and efficiently. You will also support preventative maintenance programs, fabrication work, and equipment installation while adhering to strict safety standards.Salary: $26.50/hour (vacation paid hourly)Location: Bedford, NSSchedule: 40-50 hours per week (8-hour or 12-14-hour shifts as required)40-50 hours per week (8-hour or 12-14-hour shifts as required)Contract: Full-time | PermanentVacancy Status: This posting is for an existing vacancy.ResponsibilitiesDiagnose equipment issues and perform repairs on plant machineryAssemble, install, and adjust bearings, bushings, shafts, gears, and related componentsConduct inspections, lubrication, and preventative maintenanceRepair or replace parts using hand tools, power tools, torches, and welding equipmentFabricate or rebuild components as requiredOperate power tools and gas/electric welding equipmentPerform site hazard assessments and follow all safety protocolsMaintain clean, safe, and organized workspacesSupport additional maintenance duties as requiredRequirements5+ years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial or plant equipmentStrong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and boiler systemsBasic understanding of electrical systemsExperience with carpentry, welding, plumbing, mechanical repair, or fabricationConstruction industry experience is considered an assetAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong problem-solving and critical-thinking skillsValid Class 5 driver's license and reliable transportationWillingness to travel within Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and PEIAbility to work in loud, heavy industrial environments and varying weather conditionsPhysically able to walk, stand, kneel, squat, climb, and lift up to 50 lbsAbility to safely climb ladders and work at heightsMust be eligible to work and reside within CanadaWhy Work with This ClientComprehensive health and dental benefits packageRRSP matching and financial wellness supportStrong focus on health, safety, and employee wellbeingOpportunities for training, development, and career growthEmployee recognition programs and company eventsSupportive, team-oriented industrial work environmentInterested in this position?
