
Tool Designer - Injection Molding

- Analyze specifications and design injection moulding tools to improve efficiency and performance.
- Work closely with the production team to gather feedback and implement tool improvements.
- Set up and operate conventional or computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, or grinders, to shape parts to precise dimensions.
- Verify the dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts using measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
- Visualize and compute the dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of assemblies based on provided specifications.
- Collaborate with the technical director and other team members to ensure the successful execution of projects.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all company policies and procedures.
What You Bring
- A Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Engineering
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles and mechanical design.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, including the ability to identify and resolve issues with tools and processes.
- Solid verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and report findings.
- Proficiency in using CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, for at least 5 years.
- Experience with Mold Flow analysis software.
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, and persistence in completing tasks to a high standard.
- Ability to work independently and show initiative while also being a cooperative team player.
