We are also a leading supplier of uranium refining, conversion, and fuel manufacturing services from our operations in Ontario.The RoleAs a member of the technical services team, you will report to one of our program managers. You will be responsible for the direct hands-on leadership and quality execution of projects in the mining division to ensure company goals and business objectives are achieved. Projects generally go straight into implementation as they are typically non-routine maintenance (NRM) type projects, supporting keeping Cameco's infrastructure in top working order.In this role, you will:
  • Be responsible for the team's safety, efficiency, productivity and compliance with Cameco and industry standards.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships, help the sponsorship group define the problem, identify and secure resources, report on project status to management, facilitate solutions, manage project safety and risk, and promote a culture consistent with Cameco values.
  • You will work very closely and be integrated with the operations, construction management team and key stakeholders within the mining division.
Required:
  • diploma or bachelor's degree in a related field;
  • a minimum of six years of combined work experience in progressive project management or maintenance roles in a manufacturing, agricultural or industrial setting;
  • equivalent combination of education and work experience considered;
  • ability to self-start, work in an agile environment, build trust and maintain positive relationships with a wide variety of personnel;
  • PMP, trade certification or and professional engineering designation, or the ability to obtain the relevant certification; and
  • frequent travel to our remote northern Saskatchewan sites will be required during active project planning and execution to foster, manage, and maintain relationships with key site stakeholders.
Recommended:
  • experience in industrial process settings, industrial or agricultural maintenance, automation, and manufacturing;
  • experience with Microsoft Project, Sharepoint, PRISM and SAP or equivalent systems;
  • experience with managing contracts from procurement to final closeout, including invoice reviews, LEM tracking, forecasting and change management; and
  • experience in construction management.
