
Payroll Administrator II

- Please note this role will be fully on-site at the client's Halifax Office.
- Permanent Opportunity + 2 weeks vacation for first 3 years, 3 weeks thereafter + Floating and Sick Days + Health & Dental + RRSP match/Life Insurance
- Monday to Friday (40 hours a week)
- Process bi-weekly payroll for 500 Canadian employees across multiple provinces
- Administer employee benefits, including health, dental, RRSP, TFSA, and retirement plans
- Manage employee data: onboarding, offboarding, status changes, ROEs, and year-end documentation
- Prepare payroll reports for weekly, quarterly, and yearly reviews
- Handle employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and benefits
- Collaborate with accounting teams for accurate payroll and benefits processing
- Maintain electronic timekeeping systems and process manual timesheets
- Support special projects and ad-hoc reporting as assigned by management
- Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- 2+ years of multi-provincial Canadian payroll experience
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables essential)
- Proficiency with payroll systems (ADP experience preferred)
- Knowledge of relevant legal payroll regulations
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Union payroll experience is an asset
