- Proactively build and maintain a large talent database, collecting information from a variety of sources including web search, professional associations, diversity organizations and networking, to gain prospects interest in career opportunities with Metrolinx.
- Pre-qualifying and short-listing candidates for highly specialized roles.
- Develops and recommends new tools, methods and procedures that improve the quality and efficiency of Talent Acquisition practices and processes
- Conducts research and recommends sourcing strategies for positions including but not limited to professional association job boards, data mining (e.g. LinkedIn).
- Develops and deploys passive and active position-targeted search strategies such as talent/data mining (e.g. LinkedIn), search engine optimization, social media, boolean search, referrals.
- Support the Executive Talent Acquisition team and identify changes, adjustments; provide fresh and innovative ideas on how to improve the recruitment outreach
- Researches, recommends, and develops talent pipelines for specific positions.
- Develops candidate profile to determine best technical and organizational fit for the role.
- Crafts suitable job postings for the purpose of targeting the appropriate candidate demographic which are aligned with the talent acquisition strategy and job description.
- Short-lists and pre-qualifies candidates for Executive Talent Acquisition team review based on candidate profile.
- Assists Talent Acquisition Manager with special recruitment campaigns and/or projects
- Collects, analyses and completes reports on talent acquisition KPIs, metrics and trends to determine effectiveness of talent acquisition strategies and initiatives
- Researches and stays informed of labour market trends including but not limited to mergers/ acquisitions, and sectors which are downsizing/ expanding/ transforming, to recommend revisions/improvements to talent acquisition strategies
- Excellent researching and analytical skills with a strong customer focus and keen understanding of business requirements.
- Experience with contemporary strategic talent sourcing, outreach, and selection using a variety of approaches
- Exceptional attention to detail to collect, document, record, and review information while adhering to strict deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to support projects and initiatives related to process improvement and service delivery
- Highly proficient strategic sourcing abilities to implement creative and innovative strategies of active and passive sourcing to attract and hire top talent.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office, and experience in Human Resources Management Systems (HRMS) as well as talent acquisition software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing a high volume of recruitment activities and changing priorities with high attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal, oral/written/presentation skills.
