
Project Engineer (CP03-06)

- Assist in the planning, design, and construction oversight of civil works including track beds, stations, bridges, tunnels, and utility relocations.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment with project specifications and timelines.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design, safety, and quality standards.
- Support the preparation of technical reports, progress updates, and risk assessments.
- Participate in site inspections, field investigations, and issue resolution.
- Ensure adherence to municipal, provincial, and federal regulations and permitting requirements.
- Collaborate with environmental, geotechnical, structural, and systems engineering teams.
- Track project milestones and support cost and schedule control efforts.

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- 3–7 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in transit or infrastructure projects.
- Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in a Canadian province.
- Strong understanding of Canadian engineering codes, standards, and construction practices.
- Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or similar).
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with LRT or other rail/transit infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with Public-Private Partnership (P3) delivery models.
- Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Primavera, MS Project). Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in large capital programs in an engineering / design management position with a focus on terminal renovation / improvement programs.
