Coordinating appointments, meetings, travel arrangements, calendars, catering, and document preparation for the Director and management team. * Preparing correspondence, minutes, action lists, and supporting materials while prioritizing commitments.
- Handling communications, including responding to intern al and external inquiries and managing email and phone correspondence.
- Tracking and following up on actions assigned to the Director, Manager, or division staff.
- Acting as a liaison between leadership and staff within the division.
- Maintaining accurate records, files, and follow‑up systems for outstanding issues.
- Composing, formatting, and issuing correspondence, agendas, minutes, reports, and presentations to meet Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) document standards.
- Managing electronic filing systems, public folders, and shared workspaces.
- Handling confidential information related to staffing, human resources processes, and financial documents.
- Assisting with gathering information for requests to hire, performance management, and succession planning.
- Updating skills by attending required training, reviewing materials, and participating in seminars.
- Identifying and reporting safety concerns and complying with all Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and safety procedures.
- Managing administrative tasks such as ordering supplies, photocopying, printing, submitting IT or maintenance requests, arranging travel, and processing expense reports.

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Knowledge or willingness to learn CNL business systems, including Oracle, ATOM, DevonWay, myCNL, and other platforms.
- An understanding of Quality Assurance requirements is considered an asset.
- Ability to use office equipment such as printers, photocopiers, scanners, and audio/video conferencing tools.
- Security Clearance Eligibility Required
- Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”
- Working schedule: We have a compressed work week: Four (4) days per week, ten (10) hours per day for a forty (40) hour work week, starting at 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
