- Install, maintain, and repair electrical components, wiring, control panels, VFD's, and motors in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance and diagnose electrical faults to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to support daily operations and respond promptly to production calls during downtime.
- Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to document work orders, update equipment databases, and schedule maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures specific to the pulp and paper industry.
- Assist in the planning, procurement, and documentation for electrical and instrumentation maintenance projects.
- Share technical knowledge and support training initiatives with other maintenance personnel.
- A valid Alberta Electrician Certification and/or Interprovincial Red Seal Certification required.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in an industrial setting, preferably in pulp and paper, manufacturing or a related heavy industry.
- Mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge and aptitude
- Experience in an industrial environment with VFDs, PLCs, MCCs, HMIs
- Experience with high voltage (600-23,000 volts)
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Demonstrated problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills
- The desire to progress, learn, grow and succeed
- Working safely within the pulp mill
- Start: immediate start possible or within two weeks of offer
