- Partner with senior leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives across Canada.
- Translate enterprise-wide HR initiatives into practical, Canada-specific programs, policies, and processes.
- Advise leaders on organizational design, workforce effectiveness, change management, and team performance.
- Provide insight on market trends, talent risks, and workforce planning needs within Canada.
- Lead employee relations across Canadian operations, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant practices.
- Oversee investigations, performance management issues, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and provincial employment legislation, including employment standards, occupational health and safety, human rights, and labour relations where applicable.
- Manage relationships with external legal counsel and regulatory bodies as needed.
- Oversee talent acquisition strategies for Canada in partnership with talent acquisition team.
- Lead performance/talent management, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives.
- Support workforce planning and organizational capability building to meet business growth needs.
- Use people data and workforce insights to inform decision-making and improve organizational effectiveness.
- Provide leadership and oversight of Canadian compensation and benefits programs, ensuring market competitiveness, internal equity, and compliance with local regulations.
- Partner with global or corporate teams to implement total rewards strategies at the country level.
- Champion a positive, inclusive, and values-driven workplace culture across Canada.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives, including action planning in response to feedback and business needs.
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion priorities in alignment with organizational goals and Canadian best practices.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
- 8+ years of experience in HR generalist or partner role
- Demonstrated experience in working with sales, technical and remote location employees
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate meetings and mediate issue resolution
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Canadian local, provinces and federal employment law and regulations
- Strong business and financial skills, ability to communicate and persuade inside and outside of HR, high integrity
- Demonstrated ability to analyze talent related data and provide insights
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, translate business initiatives into clear Human Resources strategies coupled with a process-oriented, forward-looking approach
- Ability to effectively communicate Human Resources strategy and rationale
