
Product Line Manager (PCB)

- Develop, implement, and monitor production schedules to meet delivery targets
- Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and quality assurance teams to ensure uninterrupted workflow
- Manage capacity planning to accommodate production fluctuations
- Supervise, train and mentor production staff (operators, technicians, shift leaders)
- Conduct performance evaluations and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety policies and procedures (OHSA standards in Ontario)
- Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles
- Monitor KPI metrics such as yield rates, downtime, and defect levels
- Ensure compliance with IPC-A-610 and IPC-7711/7721 standards for PCB manufacturing and rework
- Work closely with QA to resolve production issues and prevent recurrence
- Maintain proper documentation for traceability and audits (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or IATF 16949, depending on market sector)
- Oversee maintenance schedules for SMT, THT, AOI, wave soldering, reflow ovens, and other PCB manufacturing equipment
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize unplanned downtime
- Provide regular production performance reports to senior management
- Track and manage production costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field
- Relevant certifications (Lean Six Sigma Green/ Black Belt, IPC Certification) are an asset
- Minimum of 5+ years in electronics manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record in PCB manufacturing (SMT & THT processes)
- Experience working with high mix/ low-volume or high-volume PCB production environments
- Strong understanding of SMT Assembly, wave soldering reflow profiles, AOI, ICT, and functional testing
- Familiarity with ERP/ MES systems for production tracking
- Knowledge of ESD protection procedures and equipment calibration standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution abilities
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and results-driven
