
Food Services Manager (Certified Nutrition Manager)

- Oversee daily operations of the food service facility, including meal preparation, serving, and clean-up.
- Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards, maintaining compliance with local health regulations.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.
- Recruit, train, and supervise food service staff, including cooks, servers, and support staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for team members.
- Schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak times.
- Develop and manage the food service budget, including food costs, labor costs, and operational expenses.
- Monitor financial performance and implement cost-saving measures as needed.
- Manage inventory and ordering of supplies, ensuring the availability of food and non-food items.
- Collaborate with chefs and nutritionists to develop menus that meet dietary requirements and customer preferences.
- Conduct regular evaluations of menu items and make adjustments based on customer feedback and sales trends.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
- An active membership with the CSNM and designation of Certified Nutrition Manager (CNM).
- Current qualification as a chef and in possession of a Food Service Supervisors certificate.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in front of house and customer service.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Proficient in budgeting and financial management.
- Customer-focused approach with problem-solving skills.
