- Business Development: Identifies and seeks out opportunities to develop and enhance existing/new potential member relationships. Participates in industry, civic and community events to build a network of referral sources and to generate business leads, while promoting the brand.
- Sales and Service Strategy: Assists in the development and implementation of an annual sales and service strategy that aligns with the strategic direction of Tru Cooperative Bank to achieve performance/ profitability objectives; establishes annual goals and targets for team; monitors sales results and works with team to enhance sales and revises approach where required to ensure ongoing profitability, growth and mitigation of risk.
- Risk Management: Maintains compliance of policies and procedures with respect to audit and risk management; identifies and recommends solutions and tools to manage risk; expense control and monitor loan growth/fees and profitability as they relate to annual sales targets.
- Credit Adjudication: Reviews and approves loans within assigned limits; manages loan and portfolio credit quality ensuring all commercial lending activities are in accordance to established policy, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- May be assigned a portfolio of commercial members
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics or Commerce or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 6-7 years in senior commercial lending role or equivalent experience required
- Experience in a leadership capacity, preferably in commercial banking preferred
- Commercial credit adjudication experience preferred
- Demonstrated leadership attributes and/or experience motivating coaching a high performances sales team
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic business plans and grow revenue by successfully prospecting new business and retaining /expanding exiting member relationships
- Ability to partner with other lines of business, deepen relationships with members and provide holistic advice
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact effectively with a variety of people
- Proficient in computer software programs e.g. Microsoft Office and banking software programs
- Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by being able to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures.
