You will lead the accounting close for all Canadian entities, provide technical IFRS expertise, strengthen internal controls, and guide a high‑performing finance team. - Lead month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close for Canadian entities, ensuring accuracy and on‑time submissions.
- Review and analyze financial statements, intercompany accounts, accruals, and reserves; drive corrective actions.
- Coordinate external audits and internal audit requirements.
- Support Quarterly Balance Sheet Reviews and ensure timely follow‑up on actions.
- Serve as the IFRS and accounting policy expert; prepare technical memos and assess complex transactions.
- Ensure compliance with JE Global SOPs and statutory requirements; train internal stakeholders.
- Maintain and improve internal controls; identify risks and lead remediation plans.
- Support corporate/internal audit requests and close audit action items.
- Provide accurate financial information to Corporate Treasury and North America Tax teams.
- Support federal and provincial government grant applications.
- Provide daily leadership, coaching, and technical guidance to accounting and reporting staff.
- Drive process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or CPA, CA designation (required).
- 5–8 years of experience in financial reporting or accounting.
- Team management experience preferred.
- Public accounting experience preferred.
- Manufacturing or automotive experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience working with multi‑currency and international environments is preferred.
- Ability to lead teams, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with ERP systems (Epicor‑CMS preferred).
- Power BI experience.
- Oracle FCCS consolidation experience.
- Passion for learning the business and enhancing financial processes.
