- Act as the designated CoSS in accordance with CNESST requirements on the construction site
- Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific health and safety programs and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all applicable CNESST regulations , standards, and company policies
- Conduct daily site inspections, hazard assessments, and risk analyses
- Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions for workers and subcontractors
- Coordinate prevention activities and promote a proactive safety culture on site
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions
- Work closely with project teams (Superintendents, Project Managers, subcontractors) to ensure safe work practices are maintained at all times
- Maintain proper documentation, including safety logs, reports, and compliance records
- Act as the main point of contact for CNESST inspectors and ensure readiness for site audits
- CNESST CoSS certification (mandatory)
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar health and safety role within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of Quebec construction safety regulations and CNESST standards
- Experience working on large-scale construction projects (institutional, residential high-rise, or commercial)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage teams
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic construction environment
- Bilingualism (French required; English is an asset)
