
Signals & Communications Helper

- Perform trenching, cable distribution, housing installation, pole line work, and the assembly and wiring of signal equipment
- Install ground systems and electrical connections to rail, ensuring system reliability and functionality
- Inspect, repair, or replace damaged S&C equipment as needed
- Work closely with Track Renewal groups to protect and maintain S&C equipment during projects
- Conduct moderate to heavy physical labor on assigned sections of track, including tasks such as shoveling and climbing poles for pole line repairs
- Walk and work on uneven terrain to ensure proper installation and maintenance of equipment
- Report and document the color and status of signals during electrical connections
- High school diploma or general equivalency
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Electronics/Electrical training and/or experience is an asset
- Valid driver's license: Commercial driver's license is preferred
- Available to work all types of shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays in all weather conditions
- Proficient in communication (ability to provide clear and concise instructions/directions)

- Must have ability to relocate within District 4 (Swift Current, SK and Thunder Bay, ON)
