With a commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction, Paradigm Electronics has been at the forefront of the consumer electronics industry for over four decades.Job Overview:The Manufacturing Engineer will report directly to the Plant Manager. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for development, improvement and evaluation of processes within the manufacturing group. They will be responsible for the input and maintenance of Engineering and Production data.Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish labour standards through methods analysis and time studies for existing and new processes
  • Recommends and implements solutions to improve worker efficiency, productivity and reducing waste of material and utilities
  • Restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocating work stations/equipment and purchasing & inventory of equipment
  • Identify, propose, develop, and implement improvements to parts and process design to improve manufacturability, quality and efficiency through Engineering Change process
  • Design, develop and carry out tests and trials to prove out design and process changes.
  • Collect and analyze data of repeat quality issues in manufacturing and implement countermeasures
  • Provide and maintain process and operating instructions
  • Demonstrate leadership by mentoring production staff and promote knowledge transfer between teams
  • Implement and Maintain layouts as required
  • Create new & update part routings as required
  • Perform floor audits as required
  • Audit and maintain Project List
  • Monitor departments daily and monthly efficiencies
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or diploma in engineering technology or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 5 years progressive experience.
  • Strong computer skills in MS- Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Hands on experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Promote and execute Quality best practices, tools and methodologies.
  • Strong capabilities in planning, organizing and process control
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, operate proactively, reliable and attention to detail.
  • Strong people skills, excellent common sense, decision-making abilities, work in a team atmosphere.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Enjoy work that is primarily active in nature on the manufacturing floor.

Supervision – As needed
