Head of AI Optimization and SearchWe are hiring a Head of AI Optimization and Search Authority to lead how our brand and clients appear across modern discovery systems. This role goes far beyond traditional SEO. The focus is on how content is interpreted, summarized, and cited by AI systems, search engines, and emerging answer driven interfaces.This person will define the strategy that ensures our content becomes a trusted source within AI training data, AI answers, and knowledge retrieval systems. The role combines strategic leadership with direct execution. You will work closely with writers, analysts, and account management teams to shape content that earns citations, authority, and long term visibility.Responsibilities
  • Define and lead the company’s AI Optimization strategy across search engines and AI discovery systems.
  • Design frameworks that ensure content is structured, authoritative, and easily cited by AI systems.
  • Coach and guide writers on how to produce content that is referenced by AI models, search engines, and knowledge systems.
  • Translate complex subjects into clear, structured content that AI models can interpret and cite accurately.
  • Identify citation patterns across AI platforms and build strategies that increase inclusion in those responses.
  • Develop repeatable processes that connect content production with AI visibility and search authority.
  • Work hands on with content teams to refine articles, threads, and knowledge assets to improve discoverability.
  • Analyze AI citation behavior, search performance, and content authority signals.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and engineering teams to ensure technical foundations support AI discoverability.
Ideal Candidate
  • Deep expertise in SEO combined with a strong understanding of how modern AI systems retrieve and reference information.
  • Experience creating strategies that earn citations, references, and authority across search engines and AI systems.
  • Strong ability to break down complex topics and structure them in a way that machines and humans understand.
  • Experience coaching writers and editors to produce high authority content.
  • Comfort working hands on with content, data, and technical teams.
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to connect data with strategy.
  • Clear communicator who can translate complex search and AI concepts into practical guidance.
