We work with proactive clients who understand the importance of having exceptional staff.Partner Staffing on behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead the delivery of municipal and industrial water/wastewater facility projects, as well as building infrastructure initiatives across the Edmonton region. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in complex, multi-disciplinary construction projects, excels at managing contractors and consultants, and ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects that support critical infrastructure and long-term community growth.RequirementsKey Responsibilities
  • Manage full project lifecycle from planning and procurement through construction, commissioning, and close-out.
  • Lead the coordination of civil, mechanical, electrical, and structural disciplines for water/wastewater treatment facilities and related building infrastructure.
  • Oversee contractor performance, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, schedules, and risk management plans.
  • Administer contracts, manage change orders, and ensure compliance with specifications, regulatory requirements, and municipal standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings, providing clear reporting to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Resolve technical issues, mitigate risks, and proactively address project challenges.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, permitting agencies, and municipal partners to support seamless project execution.
  • Ensure construction documentation, submittals, and reports are accurate, complete, and maintained.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in construction project management, preferably in water/wastewater facilities, municipal infrastructure, or industrial buildings.
  • Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Civil Technology, or a related discipline work experience.
  • Strong understanding of water/wastewater treatment systems, process equipment, and building infrastructure.
  • Proven experience managing contractors, construction teams, and multi-phase project portfolios.
  • Excellent knowledge of Alberta Building Code, OH&S regulations, and municipal standards.
  • Proficient with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • ​PMP, CET, or P.Eng designation considered an asset.
