- Plan/follow daily production goals while monitoring expenses (shrink).
- Make work plans / recipes which utilize available product and meet customer tastes and preferences
- Follow opening and closing procedures.
- Review stock and par levels / place orders
- Clean and organize the kitchen. Follow all required checklists and cleaning schedules, ensuring standards are maintained while observing all food safety rules and regulations.
- Assist customers as required with meal planning ideas and other suggestions to drive customer loyalty.
- Help train retail store associates on products, including talking points, to assist in delivering a world-class shopping experience.
- Other duties as required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a commercial kitchen.
- High school diploma and/or adequate math and English skills (oral, reading, writing) are required.
- Culinary education/management considered an asset.
- A passion for cooking and producing a quality, nutritious product every day.
- Strong time management
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong command of Food Safety and Food hygiene.
- Clean and neat with excellent personal hygiene.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Commercial kitchen and retail store environment.
- Working with refrigerated and frozen products.
- Working with high heat sources.
- Modern-progressive kitchen and tech-savvy retail environment.
- Must be able to meet a flexible work schedule.
