Closing Date: April 17, 2026Position SummaryThe Research Associate I will support a strategic research initiative focused on enhancing readiness for multi-centre rehabilitation clinical trials at Toronto Rehab and West Park Healthcare Centre. The project aims to identify, prioritize, and support implementation of internationally validated outcome measures across multiple rehabilitation specialty programs.Working closely with clinicians, researchers, and institutional partners, the Research Associate I will conduct literature reviews, support stakeholder engagement and consensus activities, and contribute to the development of implementation strategies and tools that enable standardized outcomes collection across clinical services.Duties
- Conduct environmental scans and literature reviews using COVIDENCE to identify validated outcome measures used in rehabilitation clinical trials and registries.
- Extract, synthesize, and summarize evidence regarding measurement properties, feasibility, and implementation considerations.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities including interviews and focus groups with interdisciplinary clinical teams and patient partners.
- Support consensus-building processes (e.g., modified Delphi) to prioritize outcome measures for implementation.
- Assist with development of implementation strategies, training resources, and operational guidelines.
- Coordinate project timelines, documentation, and reporting.
- Complete basic statistical analysis
- Prepare summaries, reports, and presentations for project leadership and stakeholders.
- Liaise with institutional partners including research ethics, digital teams, and clinical leadership as required.
- Master's degree in health sciences, public health, rehabilitation sciences, epidemiology, or related field, required
- Minimum two (2) years related experience, required
- Experience supporting clinical or health services research
- Experience conducting literature reviews or evidence syntheses
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary clinical and research teams.
- Experience with rehabilitation research, implementation science, or outcomes research.
- Experience with qualitative methods (e.g., interviews, focus groups).
- Familiarity with research databases such as REDCap etc. and reference management software.
- Some experience in programming in r or r-studio
- Experience working in an academic healthcare environment.
