Assistant Controller

- Participate in the monthly close process, including posting and reviewing journal entries and preparing
- Responsible for various financial reporting, forecasts and variance analysis.
- Oversee the general ledger, including managing journal entries and reconciling accounts.
- Support daily manufacturing operations as it relates to financials - inventory, scrap, variances, etc.
- Ensuring compliance with all accounting standards
- Purchase Requisition review and approval.
- Participate in financial audits, SOX review and remediation plans.
- Ad-hoc reporting and analyses.
- Back-fill Controller roles and responsibilities, when required.
- CPA designation
- 5-7 years of relevant work experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- At least one year of cost accounting experience.
- Experience with capex reporting and analysis considered an asset.
- Experience with an ERP accounting software (JDE, Hyperion or a comparable business system).
- Strong computer skills and advanced Excel skills.
- Previous experience with SOX compliance would be an asset.
- Must be able to work as part of a team, prioritize tasks effectively and able to multi-task in a facedpaced environment with competing priorities.
