Our client is looking for a roaming Building Superintendent. This is a hands-on role supporting a portfolio of residential properties, suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining clean, safe, and well-functioning living environments. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and responsive, with a strong sense of ownership and a “tenant-first” approach.Key Responsibilities:
- Travel between multiple residential properties on a regular schedule to support ongoing building operations and upkeep
- Monitor and maintain garbage and recycling areas, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and proper waste management practices
- Respond promptly and professionally to tenant maintenance requests, ensuring a high level of resident satisfaction
- Conduct routine inspections of common areas and exterior spaces to ensure buildings remain clean, safe, and visually appealing
- Perform general maintenance and minor repairs, including basic plumbing, light carpentry, appliance troubleshooting, and simple electrical work
- Proactively identify maintenance concerns and escalate larger repair needs as required
- Maintain curb appeal and ensure properties consistently reflect a high standard of care and attention to detail
- Hands-on, proactive individual with a strong sense of ownership and pride in maintaining residential properties
- Comfortable working independently and managing responsibilities across multiple sites
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address maintenance issues efficiently
- Reliable, organized, and able to prioritize tasks effectively
- Professional and approachable when interacting with tenants
- Valid driverâs licence and access to reliable transportation
- Experience maintaining multiple residential properties or working in a mobile/roaming superintendent role
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a proactive, preventative approach
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities across multiple locations
- An “ownerâs mindset” with a commitment to delivering a positive tenant experience
