- Architect the Enterprise Data Model
- Take architectural ownership of Data and Information, based on guidance from the Chief Architect
- Understand and Document the business use of information
- Understand what systems and data is used by each business unit
- Document how various systems interact and why this interaction is important to the business stakeholders
- Document how data is being transferred
- Document the as-is enterprise data model
- Identify areas of improvement and efficiencies:
- Identify any inefficiencies in the current processes and recommend quick wins
- Work with the Engineers and Architects to define a plan and approach to fix these issues
- Define the Target State architecture
- With a grounding in the business strategy and objectives, define the target state information architecture and enterprise data model
- Break this down into smaller, achievable deliverables that deliver incremental benefits
- Work with the Engineering and Product Management teams to implement the required changes that move us from the As-Is to the target state architecture
- Contribute to the Roadmap and Strategy
- Factor-in corporate strategy and plans for business systems (e.g. Salesforce, Pardot)
- Clearly define role, scope, and interfaces for all major components
- Work with Product Management team to align information architecture improvements with tangible business benefits
- Build and maintain rapport with internal resources and teams to facilitate efficient and effective communication and to ensure alignment of priorities
- Perform POCs and explore new solutions
- Identify areas of improvement in the architecture. These could be technological or commercial improvements.
- If necessary, perform POCs with new solutions
- Explore new areas of investment or new commercial models required with existing vendors
- Minimum 5-6 years of experience
- Post-secondary education in Business Management, Computer or Data Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience A bias for action and iteration
- Background in building technical integrated products
- Knowledge of Enterprise, Data, and Software Architecture
- Knowledge of software concepts and applications, ideally with hands-on experience developing software programs
- Experience participating within project management frameworks and methodologies
- Experience in an Agile environment
- Experience with Graph DB would be an asset
- Proven ability to act as the lead voice in technical project teams, evaluate performance, and manage conflicts
- Skill in interacting across teams
- Strong critical thinking skills including the ability to recognize underlying issues and implications of decisions or courses of action
- Well-organized with strong attention to detail
