- Support Nuclear Regulatory Affairs for OPG's Nuclear Portfolio, driving strategic regulatory initiatives and supporting daily operations.
- Advise Management and Subject Matter Experts on regulatory issues.
- Serve as the single point of contact for regulatory matters, negotiating resolutions with the line organization.
- Research, collect, and summarize information through technical documents, event notifications, reports, and compliance findings.
- Support Licensing Advisors and project teams in meeting licence conditions and amendments.
- Correspond and request regulatory approvals from the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) as needed.
- Coordinate and conduct meetings to gather information and provide continuous status updates on multiple projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, customers, consultants, contractors, and government agencies to ensure project requirements are met.
- 4 Year University Degree in appropriate field of engineering and over 2 years of experience in engineering or applied science fields, with a focus on the nuclear power industry.
- Experienced in working with regulatory agencies, including CNSC, and interpreting CSA Codes.
- Proficient in reading, understanding, and applying codes, standards, regulations, and acts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable leading meetings and presentations.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a solution-oriented, big-picture mindset.
- Proven ability to collaborate and manage relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated initiative and self-motivation in fast-paced, challenging environments.
- Strong commitment to governance, procedures, and analytical, questioning approaches with minimal supervision.
