- Maintain accounting records for multiple properties
- Support the month-end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Prepare financial reports, balance sheet schedules, and supporting documentation
- Analyze variances and support budget preparation and reporting
- Reconcile daily cash, credit card deposits, and bank activity
- Monitor adherence to internal controls and report any discrepancies
- Support audit preparation by compiling working papers and documentation
- Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance
- CPA designation or in progress is an asset
- 2 – 4 years of progressive accounting experience; previous experience in a portfolio-based environment is a a definite asset
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word; Sage 300 experience is a plus
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a flexible and adaptable approach
