Responsibilities for Hospital Security Guard in Dryden

Respond to emergency situations including Code White (violent behavior), medical emergencies, and security threats until emergency services arrive
Use de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques to manage aggressive or distressed patients and visitors
Patrol hospital areas including emergency departments, restricted zones, and parking facilities
Control access to sensitive areas and ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors
Maintain a visible presence to deter incidents and protect healthcare workers
Write clear and detailed daily reports and incident documentation
Support patients in distress, including those experiencing trauma or mental health crises

Qualifications for Hospital Security Guard in Dryden

ust be legally authorized to work in Canada
Valid Ontario Security Guard License
Ability to pass Use of Force training
Ability to complete or pass Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) training
Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
First Aid/CPR certification is an asset
Previous experience in security or healthcare is an asset
