What’s involved in the General Labour role:The Island Farms plant is looking for General Labour employees to support their Warehouse department. Working in a cooler environment, duties will include assisting the department in the day-to-day activities.What you need to join our team:
  • You need to have a student status to apply on this position.
  • Class One highly preferred
  • Warehouse experience in a Cooler/Freezer environment preferred
  • Qualified to operate mobile equipment including swing reach forklift, reach truck forklift and pallet jack preferred
  • Able to work with and without direct supervision
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and be an active team member
  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe workplace
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to record and maintain all records and other documentation
  • Able to organize, coordinate and prioritize work to ensure efficiency
  • Physically fit with a good attendance and personal safety record
  • Experience with inventory counts and control procedures preferred
