- Full-cycle bookkeeping
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Cleaning up messy or catch-up files
- Managing GST/HST filings
- Payroll processing and payroll remittances
- T4 preparation support
- Preparing working papers for year-end accountants
- Communicating directly with clients when needed
- Identifying errors or process gaps proactively
- 5+ years of bookkeeping experience
- Strong knowledge of Canadian GST/HST rules
- Experience with Canadian payroll and CRA remittances
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (required)
- Experience cleaning up historical bookkeeping errors
- Strong reconciliation skills
- Comfortable stepping into disorganized books and confidently bringing them up to standard.
- Experience with Dext
- Experience with Keeper / Double
- Experience working in an accounting firm environment
- Familiarity with multi-entity clients
- Experience supporting T2 year-end prep
- Reliable and consistent
- Calm under deadline pressure
- Comfortable asking clarifying questions
- Process-oriented but flexible
- Able to take ownership of your client files
