- Management of consulting projects: You will lead the proposal, planning, and delivery of consulting engagements, focusing on strategy, planning services, performance improvement, and value creation in both the private and public sectors. This includes executing business planning, feasibility studies, strategic planning, operational planning, program review, program redesigns, financial analysis, and other forms of management consulting.
- Client management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients is crucial. You will need to understand their needs and provide strategic advice and solutions to meet their objectives.
- Team management: You will lead and mentor teams of analysts, consultants, and senior consultants. Providing guidance, support, and feedback will help them develop professionally and deliver high-quality work.
- Business development: Identifying new business opportunities, developing proposals, and pitching services to potential clients are key responsibilities. Your goal will be to grow the consulting business through these efforts.
- Project management: Developing project plans, allocating resources, and tracking progress to ensure successful project delivery will be part of your role.
- Strategy development: Working with clients to develop and implement strategic plans, organizational structures, and business processes to improve performance and achieve goals is essential.
- Analytical support: Using data analysis and research to identify issues, develop insights, and recommend solutions to clients will be a regular part of your work.
- Thought leadership: Staying informed about industry trends and best practices is important. You will also be expected to share your knowledge and insights with clients and colleagues to drive innovation and excellence in consulting services.
- Financial management: Managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring the profitability of consulting projects are critical responsibilities.
- Quality control: Ensuring that the quality of deliverables meets or exceeds client expectations and consulting standards is vital for maintaining a positive reputation and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, economics, engineering, or other related fields
- CMC, PMP, Lean, Six Sigma or other related certifications are considered an asset.
- 5 years of business consulting experience, ideally focused on transformation, operational improvement, and/or value creation.
- Experienced in Change Management
- Extensive experience in problem solving techniques and methodologies.
- Extensive knowledge of lean and efficiency improvement and waste reduction methodologies and concepts.
- Extensive knowledge of business and operation management
- Experience in business and practice development
- Deep knowledge of advanced project management techniques and methodologies
- Proven people management, relationship building and leadership skills.
- Flexibility to work at client sites 50 to 75% of the time on projects within Ontario. Must have the ability to drive to client sites outside of public transit routes.
- Flexibility to travel up to a maximum of 20% within Ontario or Canada.
