Our multi-disciplinary team is currently working hard and fast to deliver useful, enterprise-grade, quantum computers to our customers, in a safe and controlled environment. This full-time position will be based onsite in our brand-new office, located Espace Quantique 1, at the heart of a brand-new and exciting technology hub.As a Systems Engineer, you will be a key player in our Canadian branch while building upon your interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team. Reporting to our Technical Delivery Manager in Sherbrooke, you will work in collaboration with the manufacturing team and be responsible for the connection conformity of complex interfaces (lasers, optical modulators, cameras, sequencers, detectors, etc.). You will be responsible for the assembly compliance of all subsystems into the main core of the QPUs and will validate test bench results to confirm the correct flow of assemblies.Other responsibilities include:
  • Provide expert support to the manufacturing floor, solving problems under pressure and ensuring that production runs smoothly to meet production deadlines.
  • Support factory acceptance tests and keep documents up to date.
  • In charge of weekly technical reports to senior managers.
  • In close cooperation with Team 1 and other entities in the company, compile and keep updated assembly and testing specifications of existing and future products.
  • Provide input on maintenance protocols.
  • May be requested as support to installation and commissioning teams.
  • Analyze test failure of subsystems and provide the rework procedure to meet compliance.
  • Provide operational leadership, recommending evolutions of assembly methods and testing procedures in order to optimize workflow with future evolutions.
About You:
  • You have 8+ years experience in both theoretical and hands-on opto-mechanical assemblies with most of this time spent in a manufacturing production environment.
  • You are rigorous with strong problem-solving aptitudes.
  • You are autonomous and have an appetite to learn advanced concepts and make connections between various scientific fields.
  • You understand manufacturing environments and tight delivery schedules.
  • You are dedicated to the quality system and are a leader in continuous improvement.

  • You demonstrate a strong capacity to learn new practical and theoretical knowledge autonomously.

Other Requirements:Degree Requirements:
Bachelor in relevant Science related field or Engineering Degree (Electronics, Physics or Optics) plus 8+ years experience ideally in a production environment.English fluency is required for this position. Bilingual French/English preferred.Based on more than 40 years of academic research, co-founded by one of the 2022 Nobel prize laureates in Physics, PASQAL is on track to deliver to market a 1000-qubit quantum processor with smaller processors that can operate at room temperature and with lower energy consumption.
