We currently have an opening for an Junior Electrical Technologist in our Whitehorse office. Your responsibilities will include design and drafting of electrical, instrumentation and control for a variety of municipal, commercial, and industrial projects. The ideal individual desires to make an impact on their workplace; you will have the opportunity to engage in a collaborative work environment with your team, as well as other disciplines and offices.Job RequirementsWhat you will bring:
  • Diploma in engineering technology from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Eligible for professional registration with ASTTBC (CTech, AScT).
  • Minimum of 1+ years of progressive experience in computer-aided design and drafting (CADD).
  • Experience preparing Revit/AutoCAD drawings for electrical systems including layouts, schematics, details and specifications pertaining to electrical system design.
  • Proficiency with latest versions of AutoCAD.
  • Experience working for a consulting engineering firm is an asset, including multi-discipline design compliance with drafting standards and QA/QC procedures.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong attention to detail; committed team player and ability to work independently.
  • Some experience with spreadsheets and other software tools for electrical design and sizing is an asset.
  • Valid Driver's License (required)
