You’ll get to be a part of a trusted name in insurance with an entrepreneurial culture that’s here to amplify your expertise.We’re looking for a Senior Underwriter to join our growing Community Services team in Calgary!What you’ll do here:Responsible for working on renewals (programs), new business, prioritizing, analyzing, and underwriting more complex endorsement activity in accordance with their authority levels.Responsible for the processing and decision-making on endorsements, reviewing inspections, and mentoring junior staff where applicable.Act as a resource, providing feedback and recommendations to improve processes and results.Opportunity to build relationships with our broker partners and act as an advocate for Intact Public Entities within the insurance market.What you bring to the table:Minimum 4-6 years related experience preferred.Post-secondary education or equivalent experience.(F)CIP or working towards would be an asset.Strong communication skills, both oral and written.Analytical and judgment skills required.Attention to detail is essential.Experience with Commercial or Specialty Insurance preferred.Ability to work in a mostly virtual work environment with primary team members in Ontario.Shared office space available in Calgary, Alberta.Broker Visits and travel (5%).Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.Highly organized to manage workflow efficiently.#IPEWhat we offerWorking here means you'll be empowered to be and do your best every day.
