Job DescriptionAltaGas - Senior Condensate & Oil Marketing RepresentativeOur condensate and oil Marketing team is looking for a Senior Marketing Representative to join the group to enhance our North America marketing portfolio. Reporting to the Sr Manager, Condensate & Oil Marketing, you will be joining a team that is focused on providing exceptional service to our current customers, adding new customers to drive further growth, and collaborating successfully with other groups in the company. This person will require strong interpersonal, negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.You will:
  • Grow and develop Condensate and Crude Oil supply and sales;
  • Build new customer relationships and grow key relationships with strategic counterparties
  • Identify, evaluate and execute crude oil and condensate business opportunities
  • Work within a team of high performing team of marketers, analysts, and schedulers
  • Maintain a strong understanding of current news, events and market conditions that affect Condensate/Oil and their potential impacts on our business
  • Work with internal stakeholders such as Logistics, Trading, Finance, and Operations to optimize margins, reduce operating costs and ensuring accurate invoicing and reporting.
  • Oversee physical distribution planning (rail, pipe, truck)
  • Purchase Condensate and Crude Oil to mitigate take or pay commitments, manage positions, maximize terminal throughput and increase profitability
  • Purchase lease production volumes and develop relationships with producers throughout North America
  • Work with internal and external trucking companies to facilitate crude oil and condensate deliveries to terminals
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of crude oil blending and the equalization process for crude oil and condensate
  • Ensure commodity price and risk management requirements are understood and addressed
  • Maintain high levels of communication (virtually and in-person) with our key customers to ensure their needs are satisfied and to help promote future business
  • Enter transactions into AltaGas systems daily in accordance with AltaGas policies
  • Interface and collaborate with various internal AltaGas groups including Legal, Accounting, Risk, Tax, Engineering, Corporate Finance, Logistics, and Operations;
  • Provide coverage for Crude Oil scheduling as required (i.e. vacation coverage)
You have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Economics, Finance, or Engineering required
  • 5+ years of marketing, scheduling and other industry experience required
  • Condensate and Oil Marketing experience is required
  • Strong attention to detail, proven ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet critical deadlines
  • Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Existing industry relationship with producers, trucking companies, pipeline operators etc. would be an asset
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience with Energy Trading & Risk Management (ETRM) would be an asset
  • Superior oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Motivated individual able to contribute both individually and as a team player with multiple priorities and tasks in a fast paced environment
