Edmonton, ABSterling Crane has an exciting opportunity for a 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice Heavy Equipment Mechanic based in our Edmonton, AB location. This is a full-time, hourly position (minimum 40 hours per week) with occasional overtime required.Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting, repairing, testing and inspecting mobile and crawler hydraulic cranes, boom trucks, trailers and light duty vehicles within an industry leading PM program.
- Determine parts required for service and repair to equipment in Sterling Crane's fleet.
- Provide detailed repair comments in both paper and electronic work orders
- 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice Heavy Duty Equipment Technician required.
- The successful candidate must demonstrate safe work practices, follow company policies and be able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Working experience on engine emission systems considered an asset.
- Working experience in electrical and hydraulic systems is required.
- Must supply own hand tools, a valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge in FCC (Fleet Cost and Care) considered an asset.
- The successful candidate will be required to be in good standing with IUOE 955
- Successful applicants must be local to the Edmonton area or willing to relocate
