Overall Purpose of the JobThe Shop Service Technician has been assigned to Maintain and perform minor repairs on the oilfield servicing equipment and tools kept at the station as directed by the Shop Service Supervisor. This position is also required to perform other duties assigned by Supervisor.Key Activities and AccountabilitiesCompliant with the OH&S Responsibilities depicted in the Safety Management System Manual (Ref. R-003) Occupational Health & Safety responsibilities, Ref. - (workers). Adhere to and ensure compliance with applicable Quality policies, procedures, processes, and systems. Takes an active part in quality improvement processes. Identify and report any deficiencies to supervisor and obtain authorization for any deviations from the standard process.
Maintain and perform minor repairs on the employer's equipment and tools kept at the station as directed by the Shop Service Supervisor.
Attend operation morning meetings and assist in reviewing or completing JSA's / TSTP's / Think Plans etc, associated with the operation being performed.
Complete necessary Daily checklist's before operating any machinery.
Inspect, test and all checklist's completed associated with equipment for operations. Verify sizes, type, configuration, etc is appropriate. Ensure that the appropriate spare equipment is available.
Follow approved procedures and rules with respect to the provision and implication of personal protective equipment. If necessary, remind other employees of the proper procedures and rules. Document and report any violations committed by other employees in this area.
Ensure you and your co-workers have all the information you need to perform your required work safely and correctly. You must have clear, complete, and accurate information on quality requirements, process standards, potential health and safety risks, and potential process difficulties. Request further information where you think that there is information missing.
Inspect the area(s) where the company employees will work both before and after rigging in and before testing of equipment starts for health and safety hazards. Document your inspection results.
Do everything reasonable to utilize company resources efficiently and to avoid damage or waste.
Keep the shop, yard, tools, and equipment in a clean and functional condition.
Perform minor maintenance on vehicles, as assigned.
To strive to maintain a workplace that is as free as reasonably possible of occupational health and safety hazards. Comply with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and processes. Promote HSE awareness, take responsibility and be accountable for own safety and safety of others. Demonstrate the personal application of HSE procedures in daily performance and always follow the 10 Safety House Rules.
Adhering to the Code of Conduct and Antibribery policies, procedures, and processes to ensure the highest ethical standards are maintained and exposure to liability or risk to Expro's reputation is minimized. If necessary, report possible violations of conflicts and interest.
Participate and promote the companies Behavioral Based Safety Program and report observation to Station Program. Participate in customer / Rig Contractor Safety Programs.
Use of equipment and tools, not limited to but include, service and paint equipment, use pressure washer, use hand tools and others as required.
Must be able to pass training requirements as directed for the position. Not limited to but include forklift training, overhead crane training, first aid training, fall protection, defensive driving, WHIMIS and be able to wear respirator.
Run errands, pick up/delivery of parts and supplies.
Ensure objectives set under the Employee Development Plan are met.
Must pass probationary period.
Perform other duties assigned by his supervisor.Physical DemandsStanding for extended periods of time.

Possible long hour shifts. Work past normal business hours if required.Job Knowledge and QualificationsMinimum of two years' experience in related field / shop experience or a combination of skill and experience acceptable to the Operations Manager or Station Supervisor.

A valid driver's license and driving abstract must be provided at hire and maintained during employment.

A driving record that is acceptable within company policy guidelines - including the ability to be insured by the insurance company chosen by the company to drive company vehicles and company forklifts.
