Murray Auto Sales, o/a Lethbridge Truck Town is currently searching for an experienced, energetic, and team-oriented individual to help lead our Auto Spa team in the role of Automotive Detailing Manager.Are you looking for a faced paced role where you will join our management team, managing shop operations, overseeing and supervising staff while supporting customers in the arrangement of service work through our shop. Our rapidly growing business specializes in automotive detailing, reconditioning services, and automotive protection packages including PPF film and tint protection, windshield replacement, spray in box liners, undercoating, rust protection, polishing and paint correction, paint-less dent repair, ceramic and graphene coating and much more!Working closely with our General Manager, responsibilities and duties of this position would include but not necessarily be limited to the following:
  • Liaise, negotiate, and build relationships with customers, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Schedule service appointments, prepare repair orders, obtain approvals, account for all documents, and process/close repair orders.
  • Organize, distribute, and supervise the workflow/operations of the detailing shop.
  • Direct and schedule the activities of all service staff and technicians while monitoring hours relative to set expectations and ensure staff are fulfilling their obligations to their customers, job duties, and department processes.
  • Supervise, motivate, support, coach, and develop staff.
  • Understand, verify, and ensure compliance with warranty contract coverages.
  • Monitor technicians' daily productivity reports and corresponding payroll records.
  • Monitor and follow up on parts orders.
  • Monitor safety standards and procedures.
  • Manage optimum customer service experiences and ensure any customer dissatisfaction situations are proactively resolved.
  • Effectively maintain an adequate inventory of product, chemicals, and equipment while ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
Qualifications and experience required for this role are as follows:
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of automotive detailing experience is essential.
  • Works under pressure, meets deadlines, and utilizes effective time management skills
  • Management/supervisory experience in a team environment to effectively lead, train, and mentor others.
  • Communicates clearly and persuasively, and displays active listening skills.
  • Strong planning, analytical and organizational skills with systematic and logical work style
  • Effective problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Positive, inclusive and encouraging attitude.
  • Minimum of three years of customer service experience in a complex, fast paced, and demanding work environment.
  • Any prior professional experience working with automotive protection packages such as PPF film, windshields, undercoating, polishing/paint correction, windshield repair and replacement is strongly preferred
  • Physically able to regularly lift up to 40 lbs- Moderate Physical Demands is a job requirement
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English is essential.
  • Valid Minimum Class 5 Driver's License or equivalent is required.
  • Basic to Intermediate Computer Skills and Applications is required.
  • WHIMIS & First Aid Training would be an asset.
